FTOPS Main Event:
161st/3217. Was slightly below average, flop is JhJx5h, I've got J3, near pot - one call, turn rag, near pot, min-raise by him to put me essentially all in, crying call, he's got KJ, woohah. Tempted to want to find a fold there, but folding leaves me with an M of like, 3, with the blinds coming up, and he definitely has a pocket pair sometimes, and besides, I can always suck out/chop out.
Still it's a cash, and a cash in a tournament I didn't even intend to play, and while it's not a huge wad, it still makes for a pretty nice week, especially when it all stemmed from my accidentally leaving money in FullTilt and forgetting.
~$1300 from 161st, which puts me at just over $1200 profit on that initial $75 in the sat. I'll take it, but I can't say I'm satisfied. That's the stupid part of tournaments. At any given time, you've got 'bust now' cash locked up.
Hence, whenever you bust, if you're analyzing things from your situation prior to the bust... the bust is always the worst you can possibly do. Even if it's +$8,000,000, you already got that hump crossed in your head, and +$8,000,000 still seems like a disappointment. And mine sure as hell was NOT 8m. But that's how it goes. Might throw me back on the wagon, though, at least for a while. Then again, it might not. Who knows.
